How it works:
- A 3rdEye GPS Mobile Unit® (Real-Time) is attached to the cab of the vehicle. The Unit is equipped with an on-board 12-channel GPS receiver that receives information on the position of your vehicle from GPS satellites.
- The Mobile Unit sends GPS and Sensor data to the GSM Network via the on-board tri-band GSM cellular modem as an SMS or text-message
- Reports are available online at the StarComm Online Monitoring page OR the Base Station, a set-up at the user's premises which receives the data through SMS and displays the vehicles' position and sensor data.
With your own base station, you have control:
- The user can choose between an Auto-Reporting Mode that programs the vehicle to automatically report its position, or the Polling Mode which enables to user to request for the vehicle's position when needed
- A hard copy of the report can then be printed by any Windows printer
